COURSE FEEDBACK:
I'm a man in my forties, & in the nineties I became clinically depressed & have battled it, along with anxiety attacks ever since, experiencing several bouts a year. After seeking help from the usual places as in my GP, CBT & antidepressants I realised nothing was truly helping.
Then I found Marie’s work & she helped me become ‘conscious’ & that’s been key to my personal journey.
As a result, I became part of the charity as I feel so passionately about her work & the help she provides to people who are in need. – Public Worker. Stockton
Since starting The Me Program & also doing other courses with Inward Bound my life has changed big style. I have made some pretty big changes & overcome some big hurdles in these last few months. I found that just taking that small amount of time throughout the day for just me has help me cope with issues & illness.
Learning about who I am & also starting to like myself again. I know there are more challenges ahead but I know after doing these courses & continuing with the techniques that I have learnt I WILL make a success of my life ahead. Thank you so much Marie. - Tracy, Middlesbrough.
The courses have helped me to understand some of the changes I need to make in order to move along the path of improving my situation in life and I have previously tried many other ‘bodies’ through my doctor to no avail -

Hi, Just a little note to say a Huge Thank You for your fabulous course i attended in May to July, from arriving to the course and not knowing where i was in life i was lost with having no time, no direction and low esteem to now being focused and assertive and driven, This course has made a huge difference not only to me but to my family and friends as well, without your group support and guidance i don't know where in life i would have ended, i still use techniques. I went in to the group with an open mind. I knew that I had some issues I needed to work through. My mood was quite flat although I got up went to work full time and continued my daily routines once home. I found that some relationships in my life were not quite right. So, I attend the course weekly and was amazed at by how I felt after each meditation…But I do know this. I cleared so much clutter out of my life. I attracted better situations/ people in to my life. My outlook and purpose in life was clearer and I started living for me and those that mattered. I would highly recommend this course to any one. Even if you feel you have no issues, as it will surely get you to look at you and life differently. Social Care Worker. Middlesbrough
I learned a lot about myself, some of which I thought was absolutely ridiculous (sorry Marie) but over time she was proved to be right, accepting one's faults, mistakes & wrong doings is always hard to admit to. Now I feel I am in charge of my own destiny, still make mistakes, nobody is perfect right :( but life is good! Thanks Marie - Jan. M/bro
Really enjoyed the course. Not only did it give me the chance to slow the pace of everyday sprint and dashing around, it also gave me tools to value the importance of knowing who we are, what we are aiming for in life and what we need to do to get there. It’s all about the self, allowing time for thyself and being happy with who we are.Claire. Darlington.

It is so refreshing to attend your class on my lunch hour if only to get away from the office for peace, quiet and relaxation. I find your classes extremely interesting and your ability to provide an insight into the need to relax and remove stress is greatly received. I enjoy particularly the meditation sessions.- Joanne. Before I started Feel Good Fridays my mental health was very poor i was suffering from severe depression and anxiety attacks. However thanks to Marie and her sessions was able to manage my condition and go from employment support allowance onto job-seekers allowance. Jamie S. - Middlesbrough

I started attending classes on a Friday and some of the workshops, these helped me loads, I went from being on the highest level of anti-depressants, to not being on any, in just a few months of attending, I cannot praise Marie enough for the help and the work that she does. Thanks Kerry. Hartlepool.
I have found the meditation classes at MIND both helpful and most enjoyable. I found the breathing techniques particularly beneficial as they complimented the relaxation class I take at the centre on a Monday. All the other things Marie introduced to us have also helped me and I only hope that it is possible for us to be able to have further sessions in the future. - Eileen. Middlesbrough
Just a note to so say huge thanks. At the time service users were unsure as to what benefits they would reap from this workshop, but as the groups continued it was very clear the service you provide had major impact on their positive well being. J.F. Living Life

The 35-year-old said: “Depression had a major impact on my life – I stopped making music and that’s a mark of how much darkness I had to deal with at the time. Inward Bound taught me how to deal with my problems without going to the doctor for a pill.
