Grief

A couple of weeks ago when I was suffering from the 'blues' (as I was grieving after a friend of 25years had died suddenly) another friend suggested (with the best of intentions) that I let her go and start to live through JOY.

Needless to say this didn't help me at the time, it just made me angry and mis-understood, so I thought I'd share the Law of Attraction's emotional guidance scale again and show that when we suffer grief, or loss of any kind, our energy is low (we're having a 'down' period and will therefore need to raise our vibrations gradually.

We can't go from the low 'vibe' of grief to joy just by thinking it, we need to go up the scale gradually. Of course how quick we raise the vibration is in our hands, but it's about so much more than just thinking it so.

Like everyone else, I dip into and out of grief, anger etc, depending on what triggers the emotion I'm feeling at the time and what's happening in my life, but what I do know is, that if I'm to heal it, I have to feel it.....and that means finding why it's been triggered and brought up for me to look at.

If something is still having an affect on us, it's still in there!

How many of us can say we haven’t suffered with any of the following in the last twelve months:
Stress
Worry
Relationship problems
Low energy
 
Well, according to some research, that means you are likely to get the bacterium bug Helecopter Pylori at some point in the next twelve month. I’d never heard of it until I got it, yet the people I mentioned it to seem to have either had it, or knew someone who had. 
Many people seem happy taking medication to mask the problem as they seemed to think they are just suffering from indigestion. I started researching the culprit and I was gob-smacked with some of the results. 
 
Apparently over 50% of the world has this bacterium and many will go on
to suffer from gastric ulcers and if not sorted long term, it can even lead to
stomach cancer! 
 
That’s a scary thought to say the least but what makes it worse is I couldn’t find that much research into the problem. The NHS give a course of antibiotics and when they don’t work they give a stronger course. The problem with the antibiotics route is that it strips the immune system.

Here are a few symptoms.
  • acid reflux
  • B-12 & folic acid deficiency
  • bad breath
  • burping/belching
  • calcium deficiency
Helicobacter Pylori is able to survive gastric acids due to its ability to produce an enzyme called urease. Through a chemical process, urease can neutralize stomach acid, making it easy for the bacteria to survive in its own acid free zone. Because of their corkscrew shape, the bacteria can easily penetrate the stomach's protective mucous lining. 
Too much acid and pepsin can damage a healthy and unprotected stomach
lining and this is basically how ulcers are formed. 
The ‘antacid’ effect of Helicobacter Pylori fools your stomach into producing more acid, which then makes your stomach cells more susceptible to damage through exposure to acid and pepsin.
So if you have any of the signs, at least go to your doctor and get the test and if you’re unlucky enough to have the bug, you can make an informed choice as to what route to take to clear it.

Stress

As human beings we are unique in that we are constantly exposed to stress.

In the wild, animals aren’t exposed to stress in the same way as we are. 

For example, an animal chasing another for food will either kill it & the
stress ends, or the target escapes & again the stress ends.

Stress can be categorised in a number of different ways. 
Physical
Eating poor quality foods
Processed foods
Sugar
Alcohol
Caffeine
Gluten intolerance and other food reactions
Over the counter and recreational drugs
Over exposure to toxins such as plastics, metals, pesticides, preservatives.
Nutrient deficiencies
Excessive exercise & even too little exercise
 
Mental and Emotional
Worries over money, job, security
Relationship issues
Family problems
Feeling lost in life etc.

When any of the above is going on in the body, it will produce cortisol. When we are under short term or severe stress, cortisol is a lifesaver, because it increases
blood pressure and diverts the body’s resources to the brain and muscles to help
our fight or flight reaction, but excessive cortisol can cause havoc in the body too and can cause stomach ulcers and the dreaded bug Helicobacter Pylori.

Prevention is better than cure, therefore awareness of what our body is telling us is very important, as is relaxation and meditation. So start today to listen to your body language and maybe check out a local relaxation/meditation class! After all, you deserve good health and wellbeing.
