Over the moon to say I finally feel like myself again - can't believe how much I missed myself ;) I felt the need to mention the depression that came with the back of my recent virus & how I believe it held up my recovery.
Depression is still a 'bad' word in society and still has stigma attached, especially for someone who works in the ‘healing’ profession, but it does need speaking about, as our mood plays such a big part in our well-being.
This recent bout took me to some really dark places; places I haven’t seen for a long time and hope don’t for very long time to come. Depression means a cut off from our ‘source’, our light, our point of power and leads us into the darkness. In that place the mind has a heyday with the inner child, as it repeatedly reminds it of its fears. In my case, the message is that the child it isn’t loved and not wanted. (see The Me Programme).
It’s important that the inner child is reminded that people care for it and receive the TLC that’s been lacking to bring on the ill-ness in the first place. This reassurance feeds through to the adult self and the body can then be stress free and the healing of the dis-ease can totally begin by the body, as a body can only heal when its stress free.
So if you know someone is unwell, ask if they need anything, they might just be too down to ask.
Also pleased to say that the inner child meditations will be part of the courses I’ll be running in 2015. So keep your eye out for the promo that’s coming for Inward Bound.
